Two Korean dramas that are among the most talked-about Korean dramas of their times, “Signal” (2016-ish) and “A Shop For Killers,” (2024) have officially been greenlit for second seasons.

Signal (2016 Korean Drama)
According to various sources, the popular tvN drama “Signal” is set to return for a second season, eight years after the first season aired. Writer Kim Eun Hee’s agency, Media Lab Seeso, announced that she is currently working on the script for Signal 2.
Additionally, CEO Jang Won Seok of B.A. Entertainment confirmed the preparation for Season 2 during an event in Rome, Italy, which was later verified by the writer’s agency. The mystery thriller, which originally aired in 2016, follows the story of detectives from different time periods solving long-unsolved cases through a mysterious radio.
Starring Lee Je Hoon, Kim Hye Soo, and Jo Jin Woong, the drama garnered a high viewership rating of 12.5% nationwide.
A Shop For Killers (2024 Korean Drama)
The hit Disney+ K-drama “A Shop for Killers,” led by Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hye Joon, is in discussions for a new season. A representative of Disney+ revealed that due to the show’s success, there are expectations for its continuation, leading to close discussions for season 2.
The drama revolves around the survival of Jian, the niece of Jeong Jinman, who operates a mysterious shopping mall and becomes the target of suspicious killers after her uncle’s death. The series, which premiered on January 17 and consists of 8 episodes, has garnered praise from both local and international viewers.
Additionally, other Disney+ K-dramas set to premiere this year include “The Impossible Heir,” “Uncle Samsik,” “Blood Free,” and “Light Shop.” The collaboration work of directors Lee Kwon and Ji Ho Jin, “A Shop For Killers,” was adapted from the novel of the same name by Kang Ji Young.
