Son Ye-Jin and Jo Yuri are cast in new Netflix drama series “Variety.” Drama series is written and directed by Kim Yong-Hoon, who previously wrote and directed 2023 Netflix drama series “Mask Girl.” In drama series “Variety,” Son Ye-Jin will entertainment agency CEO Se-Eun. Her goal is to resign the top idol group which she created. Jo Yuri will play Seung-Hee. She is an obsessive fan of that idol group.

“Variety” will be released sometime next year.

The award show focuses on drama series that are distributed by various OTT platforms. This evenings big winners was Netflix drama series “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” which won the top “Daesang Grand Prize,” “Best Actress” award for IU, and “Best Supporting Actress” award for Yum Hye-Ran. Also receiving top awards was Netflix drama series “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” which won “Best Drama,” “Best Actor” for Ju Ji-Hoon, and “Best New Actor” for Choo Young-Woo.

Kim Se-Hee holds a twisted belief that only superior genes should survive. In the case of a child that is adopted through their illegal operation and does not meet the adoptive parents’ expectations, Kim Se-Hee’s group provides a free refund for a certain period of time. When a child is returned by the adoptive parents, Kim Se-Hee’s organization kills the child to destroy evidence of their crime. Teaser trailer and release date set for movie “Blonde” starring Takanori Iwata, Tamaki Shiratori, & Mugi Kadowaki. Movie is written and directed by Yuichiro Sakashita (“The Sunday Runoff“). The teaser trailer begins with Takanori Iwata as high school teacher Ichikawa stating “This is not a story about blonde hair, it’s my personal story.”

“Blonde” will be released November 21, 2025 in Japan.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Ichikawa (Takanori Iwata) is a teacher at a public middle school. Two incidents occur that changes his life greatly. One is that his students come to school with their hair dyed blonde in protest against the school rules. The other problem is that his girlfriend Akasaka (Mugi Kadowaki) begins to ask him about marriage. He thinks that getting married at the age of 30 is too soon and he has never even thought about getting married. The blonde hair incident at his school becomes publicized through the internet. The commotion becomes much bigger and gains the attention of the Board of Education, Ministry of Education, and even the Prime Minister. Main trailer and poster added for movie “A Pale View of Hills” starring Suzu Hirose and Fumi Nikaido. The human mystery film recently held its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section. Park Min-Young, Park Hee-Soon, & Joo Jong-Hyuk are cast in Coupang Play drama series “The Confidence Man KR.” Drama series is based on 2018 Fuji TV drama series “The Confidence Man JP” that stars Masami Nagasawa, Masahiro Higashide, and Fumiyo Kohinata. In “The Confidence Man KR,” Park Min-Young will play genius con artist Yoon Yi-Rang. She works with James (Park Hee-Soon) and Myeong Ku-Ho (Joo Jong-Hyuk) as the swindler group The Confidence Man. They target evil people and groups.
