Here’s two teaser posters for upcoming SBS drama series “Queen Mantis” starring Ko Hyun-Jung and Jang Dong-Yoon. The crime thriller drama series is a remake of 2017 French television series “La Mante.” Caption on the first teaser, having a closeup shot of Ko Hyun-Jung as as convicted serial killer Jung Yi-Shin, states “Smell of blood? I like it.” Caption on the second teaser poster states “Murder. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
“Queen Mantis” will first air September 5, 2025 in South Korea (takes over SBS’ Friday and Saturday 9:50 PM time slot after “The Winning Try“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Jung Yi-Shin (Ko Hyun-Jung) is a serial killer with the nickname of the Mantis. She brutally murdered 5 men 20 years ago. Her son is Cha Soo-Yeol (Jang Dong-Yoon). He has loathed his mother for his entire life. He now works as a police officer. One day, a murder case takes place. The murder seems to be a copycat crime copied from Mantis. To catch this culprit, Cha Soo-Yeol enlists the help of his mother Jung Yi-Shin.
