by Ryusei Yokohama and Suzu Hirose are cast in movie “Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku.” Movie is based on 2022 novel “Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku” by Yuu Nagira (“Wandering“) and directed by Michihito Fujii (“The Journalist“). The film will be set on a scenic island in the Seto Inland Sea. Ryusei Yokohama will play high school student Kai Aono. He transfers from Kyoto to the island. Suzu Hirose will play Akimi Inoue. She meets Kai Aono on the island and they fall in love.
“Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku” will be released sometime next year in Japan.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Kai Aono (Ryusei Yokohama) is a high school student. He transfers to a scenic island in the Seto Inland Sea from Kyoto. There, he meets high school student Akimi Inoue (Suzu Hirose), who was born on the island and lives with her mother. They fall in love with each other, but they are forced to make a choice due to their own fates. Their story of love and choice unfolds over 15 years.
