Love Next Door

Review of Korean Drama “Love Next Door”: Childhood Enemies to Grown-Up Lovers?

Love Next Door (also known as Mom’s Friend’s Son) is a brand new Korean romantic-comedy premiering on tvN this August 2024.

Buckle up for a hilarious and heartwarming story about two childhood acquaintances whose lives become hilariously entangled once again.

Synopsis of Love Next Door

Choi Seung-Hyo (played by Jung Hae-In) is a star architect with seemingly everything going for him. Handsome, successful, and kind-hearted, he seems to have it all. However, his past holds some not-so-perfect memories, particularly those involving Bae Seok-Ryu (played by Jung So-Min). Thanks to their mothers’ close friendship, these two spent a lot of time together as kids – including some truly unforgettable (and embarrassing) moments.

Fast forward to adulthood, and their paths cross once more. Bae Seok-Ryu, once an academic high achiever and corporate go-getter, has taken a break from the working world. When their paths collide, sparks fly – but not necessarily of the romantic kind. Will their childhood history and clashing personalities keep them apart, or will something unexpected blossom between them?
