Mayu Matsuoka and Riisa Naka are cast in Netflix drama series “Plastic Beauty” (English title). The two leading ladies will play rival surgeons. Mayu Matsuoka as Fumi Numata believes in saving lives through surgery. Circumstances pushes her to work in the cosmetic surgery field. Riisa Naka will play celebrity plastic surgeon Rin Tohyama. She believes in saving lives through beauty. These two people come into conflict as they work different patients. Drama series is based on an original screenplay by Junya Ikegami (“The Queen of Villains“) and directed by Yuki Saito (“Ossan’s Love Returns“).
“Plastic Beauty” will premiere sometime in 2026.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Fumi Numata (Mayu Matsuoka) is a surgeon in the plastic and reconstructive surgery field. She is gifted as a surgeon and focuses on saving lives, but, due to circumstances, she has to switch to cosmetic surgery. That places her at odds with Rin Tohyama (Riisa Naka), who is a famous cosmetic surgeon. Rin Tohyama believes in saving lives by achieving beauty.
