Hiyori Sakurada and Hayato Sano are cast in NTV drama series “Escape.” Drama series features an original screenplay scripted by Kayo Hikawa (“After School Doctor“) and directed by Naoko Komuro (“Secret Makeover“) & Makoto Naganuma (“Inheritance Detective“). Hiyori Sakurada will play Yui Yagami. She is the daughter of a pharmaceutical company president, but is kidnapped for ransom during her 20th birthday party. Hayato Sano will play Daisuke Hayashida. He is one of the people that takes part in her kidnapping. Circumstances will have them together as they try to escape.
“Escape” will first air October 8, 2025 in Japan (takes over NTV’s Wednesday 10 PM time slot after “Chihayafuru: Meguri“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Yui Yagami (Hiyori Sakurada) is 20 years old and is a 2nd year student at a prestigious university. She is the daughter of the president of a pharmaceutical company, which is one of Japan’s leading companies. Although she lost her mother at a young age, she was raised by her father’s love. She has a serious personality that is concerned with social welfare and poverty, but she is reluctant to interact with people. Behind that, there is a secret that she only knows. At her 20th birthday party, Yui Yagami is kidnapped by a group of people for ransom. Daisuke Hayashida (Hayato Sano) is one of the kidnappers. He is a 24 year old man, who grew up in a poor family background. He has a history of being involved in fraud. He currently works as a car mechanic and he has a honest personality with a blunt attitude. Due to his family problems, it’s easy for him to sense changes in people’s emotions. The kidnapping for ransom fails, but Yui Yagami begs Daisuke Hayashida to escape with her.
