Hidetoshi Nishijima is cast for the lead role in movie “Sonzai no Subete wo.” Movie is based on 2023 novel “Sonzai no Subete wo” by Takeshi Shiota (“The Voice of Sin“) and directed by Takahisa Zeze (“One Last Bloom“). In the upcoming movie, Hidetoshi Nishijima will play reporter Jiro Monden. About 30 years ago, he covered an unsolved child kidnapping case. In the present day, he looks into the case again after the death of a detective.
“Sonzai no Subete wo” will be released sometime in 2027.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: In 1991, two children were kidnapped. One of the two kidnapped children was found safe, but the other child remained missing. Three years later, the missing child suddenly appears at his grandparents’ home. The child doesn’t say anything about what happened during the past 3 years. The kidnapping case goes unsolved and, eventually, the statute of limitations expires. Jiro Monden (Hidetoshi Nishijima) is a newspaper reporter. When the kidnapping case took place in 1991, he covered the story and reported on the police. 30 years later, Jiro Monden once again investigates the kidnapping case due to the death of a detective he knew.
