Lim Ji-Yeon and Heo Nam-Jun are cast in SBS drama “Wonderful New World” (literal title). The drama series is setup as a romantic-comedy involving time travel. Lim Ji-Yeon will play Kang Dan-Sim. She is villainous woman in the Joseon era and given poison for her evil deeds. When she wakes up, she finds herself in the present day and in the body of Shin Seo-Ri, who works as an obscure actress. Heo Nam-Jun will play Cha Se-Kye. He is a chaebol heir and notorious for his rude behavior.

“Wonderful New World” will first air sometime next year in South Korea.

Yu Hae-Jin, Park Hae-Il, and Lee Min-Ho are cast in movie “Assassin(s).” The film is directed by Hur Jin-Ho (“The Last Princess“). Story for “Assassin(s)” will revolve around the August 15, 1974 assassination attempt on the Korean president Park Chung-Hee. He survived the attempt, but his wife died from a gunshot.

Filming for “Assassin(s)” began August, 2025.

The gunfire was an attempt to assassinate the president, but the First Lady is shot and later dies. Drama series “Grand Galaxy Hotel,” starring Lee Do-Hyun and Shin Shi-A, is now scheduled to be released via Netflix and more casting has been announced. Now cast for major supporting character roles are Lee Soo-Hyuk and Lee Su-Hyun. The drama series is directed by Oh Choong-Hwan and scripted by sisters Hong Jung-Eun and Hong Mi-Ran. The three previously worked together in 2019 tvN drama series “Hotel Del Luna.”

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Set in 1997, while the South Korean economy was going through an economic crisis. Kang Tae-Poong’s (Lee Joon-Ho) father runs a small company named Typhoon Trading Company. Due to his wealthy father, Kang Tae-Poong lived a carefree life, but the worst economic crisis hits South Korea. This changes everything. While the economic crisis hits Typhoon Trading Company, Kang Tae-Poong’s father passes away.
