Main trailer and poster added for Netflix drama series “Trigger” starring Kim Nam-Gil & Kim Young-Kwang. The action-thriller drama series is set in South Korea, when someone or group are smuggling guns into the country and sending it to random people. Caption on the main poster states “If everyone had a gun in their hand.”

“Trigger” will be available to stream from July 25, 2025.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: The purchase, selling, or owning of a gun are banned in South Korea. There’s almost zero crime cases involving guns in the country. Things change quickly. Illegal guns, from unknown sources, are brought into the country and gun incidents proliferate.

Yi-Do (Kim Nam-Gil) is a righteous detective. In his past, he served in the military as a sniper. Now, Yi-Do struggles to stop a series of gun incidents and chases after the source of the illegal firearms. 

Moon-Baek (Kim Young-Kwang) is a key figure in the underground arms broker world. He acts like an easy going person, but he is a person who meticulously plans out his actions and then puts his plan into action. These two men, Yi-Do and Moon-Baek, hold a gun for their own reasons.

Byeon Woo-Seok is cast in Netflix drama series “Solo Leveling.” Drama series is based on popular web novel “Na Honjaman Levelup” by Chugong and will be directed by Lee Hae-Jun & Kim Byung-Seo. The two directors previously worked together in 2019 action movie “Ashfall.” In “Solo Leveling,” Byeon Woo-Seok will play Seong Jin-Woo. He is a hunter that protects the world against monsters from another dimension.
